I have growlers from Green Tree Brewery that have been calling my name.  But I'll be a gentleman and wait until Charlie Cole, from Big Swing Brewery, can get in studio with me.  Since he's shared so many beers with me it's just the right thing to do.

So in the meantime, in leu of a beer tasting video we give you just the facts man!
This Week

Crawford Brew Works highly anticipated Oktoberfestbier is ready to break in the fall and celebrate tradition. The first 30 people in the CBW door (21+) at noon will receive a ticket for their first pint free when the new beer is tapped at 1:00PM. Stay for food from Smash and music by The Vellies.

Sip local brews and explore Niabi Zoo to bring a new species as part of the 2021 Pints for Preservation event. All proceeds help bring a new animal – the African Painted Dog to the zoo, and ongoing conservation and education experiences focused on the new species. All tickets include admission to the zoo, beer samples at more than a dozen tasting stations, and a souvenir tasting glass. A variety of food trucks will also be onsite to offer food for purchase.

Quad Cities Live Music Venues That Aren't Live Music Venues Anymore

Nostalgia Alert!.

We've compiled a quick list (by no means comprehensive) of venues in the Quad Cities that are no longer music venues but to us will ALWAYS hold a special place were we saw some great shows and made some incredible memories.

To many of us the live music scene wasn't just a concert here & there. It was an every weekend affair. And it didn't matter if it was a touring band or your buddy's band. We were going to be there with a beer in hand and scream along with guitars that were way too loud in a room that was improperly treated acoustically and make some bad decisions.

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.
