Bettendorf Kindergarten Teacher Recognized For Making “Caring, Compassionate” Impression

The kids are getting closer to Spring Break and as they're working hard, we're going out again for our surprises with Ultimate Chocolates to highlight and reward a deserving Quad Cities teacher.

It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Ultimate Chocolate's QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats to Emma Hartz, Kindergarten teacher at Forest Grove Elementary School in Bettendorf!

Ms. Hartz was nominated by her coworker Cheyenne, who said in her nomination:

Emma Hartz is a kindergarten teacher at Forest Grove Elementary in the Pleasant Valley Community School District. I have had the IMMENSE privilege to be Emma’s teaching partner this year for her first year teaching Kindergarten. Ms. Hartz shows caring, compassion and most importantly PATIENCE to each of her students. Teaching 5 and 6 year olds is hard but she makes it look easy. Over the past 3 school years Ms. Hartz has built relationships with students across the 3 grade levels she has taught in K-2. Her previous students always make time to walk all the way to our Kindergarten hallway to tell her something exciting, give a hug or just say hello. This is just further proof of the love and kindness she has given her students each year. I’m super proud of her and proud to be her teaching partner!
