School Cleared, No Evidence Of Shooting At High School In Eastern Iowa

Officials from Clinton High School and the Clinton Community School District have announced that the high school has been cleared.
Clinton school officials say the school will be back in session on Wednesday.

Officials from the Clinton Community School District and Clinton High School gave an update on the reported shots fired at Clinton High School.
Officials say there is still no evidence of any shooting at Clinton High School. Officials say they are still working with the Clinton Police Department and families to reconnect students and parents.
Clinton school officials say that several large schools in eastern Iowa have also received 911 reports of active shooters. We are working to confirm that.

This morning, the Clinton Police Department reported shots fired at Clinton High School (817 8th Ave S) on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Police and tactical units are still responding to the scene.
In a social media post on Tuesday morning, officials from the Clinton Community School District made a social media post giving information about the shooting.
Officials from the high school said that a 911 call to the Clinton Police Department was made stating that there were shots fired at Clinton High. School officials said there are no signs of shots fired.
Some students are still sheltered in place, according to Clinton High School's post.
The Clinton Community School District and Clinton High School officials said they have canceled classes for the remainder of the day and will release all kids once we have the all-clear.
As of now, there have been no reports of any injuries.
