Popular Eastern Iowa Coffee Shop Closing Last Remaining Location
Another QC coffee shop is closing it's doors for good.
It seems there's a wave of QCA coffee shops closing recently. This week, we've told you about Charged closing it's locations in Silvis, Cambridge, and Orion. Now, there's another popular coffee shop that's closing.
A lengthy post from QC Fuel in Bettendorf explained why they will close.
The owner says in the post that there are a few options moving forward. The business is for sale for $25,000. The owner says they will help move the business somewhere else if the new owner wants to. Or the owner will allow the sale of individual pieces of equipment from QC Fuel.
QC Fuel is at 1603 Grant St. in Bettendorf and here's part of what happened leading to the closure, according to the Facebook post:
Hannah and I worked hard to make her the new owner but unfortunately, nothing is ever easy. The landlord of the Grant Street location (the owner of the BP) wanted her to have a large deposit, a financial backer and a co-signer to renew the lease as the new owner despite having a profitable P&L, 5 years of an established business and no late rent checks. Hannah also tried to work with my former business partner to go back into one the Moline locations, but they have been leased to someone else.

QC Fuel opened their first location (in Moline on 53rd) in 2017, adding in 2 more locations in 2019 and then the Grant Street location in Bettendorf in 2022.
The post from QC Fuel says that their last day in business will be December 5th.
