Be on the lookout for Quad City students when you're watching the parade this Thanksgiving.Going from a small town like Sherrard straight to New York City will be an experience these five students won't likely soon forget. In fact, I remember when I went last year. It could be overwhelming at times and most of the time, I was just in awe of how many people there were in the very spot where the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade takes place.

According to WQAD.com, this trip is a first for some of the students. Between the five, they play the saxophone, clarinet and trumpet.

It's even more rare that so many students from one school are accepted after the rather tough application process.

I'll be looking out for the students during the parade for sure. I can only imagine the smiling faces of their families and friends and they represent their community and get to participate in huge Thanksgiving Day tradition in America.
