River Drive In Davenport Now Open

River Drive in Davenport from Federal Street to Division is open once again.
The city of Davenport announced on Twitter Tuesday evening that River Drive will be open once again be open beginning at 6 p.m.
River Drive had been closed since April 9th because of flooding. Flooding forced River Drive to closed causing detours from Federal Street to Division Street. HESCO barriers were put into place to prevent damage caused by flood waters.
According to weather.gov, Mississippi River levels are at expected to drop below flood stage, 15 feet, by Thursday, April 23rd, and continue to drop over the next week.
On April 9th, I went down to the Davenport to capture flooding this year. See photos below of water on the rise at the start of the flooding.
