Roads To Avoid This Week in the Quad Cities
Construction season in the Quad Cities has begun, and it's not even waiting for the warm weather.
This week is bringing a lot of changes to some heavily-traveled QC roads. So if you want to be sure you're on time, you might want to give yourself some extra minutes on the road or just avoid these areas altogether.

Brady Street
12th Street - Kirkwood Blvd.I couldn't miss this one on my way to work this morning! There are bright orange barrels, taking Brady down to two lanes from 12th St. to Kirkwood Blvd. for sewer repairs.
The machines breaking the cement make me feel like the ground will fall out from under me so this might be my least-favorite construction project in the QC at the moment.
But, if you want to come visit the B100 studios, or any other business between 12th and Kirkwood on Brady, you're in luck. All businesses will remain open and accessible through the work.

John Deere Road
60th Street - 70th StreetMonday also marks the starting point for construction on the outside lanes of the West bound John Deere Rd.
According to WQAD's article, a small portion of Coaltown Rd. will close but the majority of the work will be between the east side of the Blackhawk College Entrance (off of 60th Street) and up to the intersection of 70th Street.
