Rock Island Fire Department Rescues A Man Traveling By Log
Listen, I love Splash Mountain as much as the next person. There's something fun and whimsical about the idea of traveling down a river by log. The 50-foot drop is a little daunting, but still fun! But this guy ACTUALLY tried it.
According to KWQC, the Rock Island Fire Department responded to a call on Monday afternoon about a man in the Mississippi River. Officials say he was seen clinging to a log. The fire department later learned that the man got in willingly, and was trying to use the log as a means to get to Kentucky.
Fortunately, the man was pulled onto a rescue boat and he did not have any injuries. Per reports, he entered the water in Davenport, so it appears he got pretty far. Even so, law enforcement reminded him – and all Quad Citizens – that logs really aren't a mode of transportation.
Nobody tell Disney.
