Savannah Bananas Bringing Baseball Antics Back To Iowa In 2024
The entertaining Savannah Bananas will be playing baseball in Iowa again next year.
According to KCCI, the Savannah Bananas (which are pretty much baseball's version of the Harlem Globetrotters) will be bringing their goofy, talented game to our corner of the country in 2024.
You've likely seen these guys while scrolling through your TikTok or Instagram Reels. They bust out in dance moves while they play baseball. They get silly. They're extremely popular because they're extremely entertaining. They're on my bucket list of shows to go see for sure.
The team announced their schedule for the Banana Ball World Tour in 2024 and Iowa is on it yet again!
The Savannah Bananas will be at Principal Park in Des Moines on September 6-8th, 2024.
Iowans definitely went bananas for the Bananas in August, selling out Principal Park twice. Over 25,000 fans went to the field to enjoy the silly antics. That's probably why next year, we will get a third Bananas game!
Tickets are not on sale yet and the team has a different way of going about it. The Savannah Bananas have a ticket lottery that you can sign up for. The Bananas' website says about 2 months before the event, a random drawing will take place and the lucky ones will get the opportunity to get Savannah Bananas tickets. You'll need to join the ticket lottery before December 1, 2023.
