Shooting in Davenport Leaves One Man Hospitalized

An Iowa man is lucky to be alive today after being shot last night while on a walk in Davenport.

An evening walk could have been deadly for a Davenport man who is in the hospital today after an attempt to rob him. Two men approached him demanding money. One showed a gun and then he was shot.

"At approximately 7:21 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of LeClaire Street near Kirkwood for a possible robbery and a shooting victim.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries."

The suspects ran off after shooting this man.
