Yes, that is the hashtag I'm starting with no shame in my game.

And it shouldn't just be #spotifyhatesChritmas, I'll admit, they're not the only ones at fault. It should be #iTuneshatesChristmas and whatever other website is being discriminatory to my taste in holiday music.

Why all the outrage? I'll tell you...

Wednesday morning we got the cutest little dusting of snow in the Quad Cities which really put my holiday spirit into overdrive. I thought, "aha! This is the perfect time for me to put together my Christmas playlist on Spotify."

I start my search for all of my beloved Christmas albums. *NSYNC's Home For Christmas, Christina Aguilera's My Kind Of Christmas, Jimmy Buffett's Christmas Island (this is my dad's influence), Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe, etc...

But there was one iconic album missing from my Christmas collection. So, I began excitedly typing H-i-l-a-r-y [space] D-u-f-f [space] S-a-n-t-a [space] C-l-a-u-s [space] L-a-n-e into the Spotify search bar. My excitement was soon squashed when I realize that there is no mention of the album ANYWHERE on the site that claims to have "the right music for every moment."

Apparently that excludes "I'm in the mood for Hilary Duff Christmas" moments.

It my fit of rage, I tweeted the following at Spotify:

To which, they politely replied:

Damnit, exclamation marks always diffuse a situation!! While I'm still disappointed that I can not enjoy Hilary Duff's "Santa Claus Lane":

Or her duet with 'Lil Romeo "Tell Me A Story." #holidayclassics

I guess I'll forgive them and will just have to download my original CD into my iTunes Library #thestruggleisreal.
