This could come in handy if you celebrated with too many people over the holiday. The CDC recommends if you start having symptoms of the virus, you should get tested.

The drive-through testing site is open 9 am - 4 pm Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 at the TaxSlayer Center parking lot, 1201 River Drive, Moline. The site is closing an hour earlier than in the past since it starts getting dark around 4:30 pm.

This community based testing site is available to any Illinois resident. You don't need an appointment or doctor referral. You will need your photo ID. Testing is free.

Take advantage of the QC site while it's here. You'll have to drive to Rockford or Peoria if you're looking for a permanent site in Illinois.

The health department asks you to stay in your car and follow directions at the drive thru. Walk-up testing is also available; follow directions there too.

In the past, there have been reports of long lines. Keep in mind the testing is fairly quick and the lines move along pretty well. If you're not sure whether you need a test, go to the CDC Symptom Self-Checker Tool here.

For more information you can contact the State of Illinois' COVID-19 hotline at 800-889-3931.
