It's a sad truth that we can't adopt every fur baby we meet. Thankfully, when that happens, there are shelters to take care of the animals still looking for their forever homes.

Unfortunately, a local Quad City animal shelter was struck by bad luck this weekend and needs help. According to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center's Facebook page:

We are sad to announce that there was a fire at our clinic this afternoon. The good news is that the fire department responded quickly. We can't thank the Black Hawk Fire Department enough for the quick response and for rescuing our animals. We have relocated our animals to our other facility and they are receiving medical care now. We need your support now more than ever as several of the animals are suffering from smoke inhalation. Please donate for the animals in our care.

You can see pictures of the damage here. We're hoping for a speedy recovery of all the animals!
