Twitter Appears To Be Down Right Now

Usually when social media goes down, you can verify it on Twitter. For whatever reason, it's become the odd man out of social platforms, but the reaction gifs are usually pretty stellar. But today, it's Twitter that's failed us!

If you're having issues loading your feed, you're not alone. Twitter's been down since roughly 2 p.m., give or take 15 minutes. Odds are, you're seeing this message right now:

Fortunately, Facebook and Instagram are still up and running (though they were out just a few days ago).

Reddit was also reported to be experiencing outages on its website and app earlier in the day, but got back up and running for most users an hour before Twitter went down, according to DownDetector, a website used to monitor web outages.

As we approach the hour mark of things going down, it's unclear how long it will take for the site to get back to normal.

Word to the wise: I've found that you can still see some tweets, if you just Google the term you're looking for!

UPDATE: As of 2:47 p.m., it seems that Twitter will load your feed, but not new tweets or its trending list.
