The show "Survivor" is going to have an interesting last chapter bringing back some big winners from over the years. This season is going to be an intense one with $2 million at stake, and especially for Iowans!

Three “Survivor” winners with Eastern Iowa ties are returning to “Survivor 40: Winners at War.” This latest chapter in the popular television reality test of stamina and strategy premieres at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 on CBS.

Among the 20 past million-dollar winners who are competing for a $2 million payoff are Denise Stapley of Marion and Sarah Lacina of Cedar Rapids, as well as Danni Boatwright, who is married to former NFL center and Iowa Hawkeye Casey Wiegmann. So Iowa will be well represented.

The season is going to take place in Fiji, among the 'sole survivors' of past seasons. This is truly going to be the best of the best, and I would love to see an Iowa team start up and take home a win, but no matter what this is sure to be a great season!

Many Iowans have been in "survivor" going all the way back to 2004 with the first Iowan, Rory Freeman who fell in "Island of Fire", which my parents loved and I watched as a kid. It's now 2020 and I can't wait to watch Iowa be represented and actually understand whats going on. Will you be watching this season?
