Metallica Paying Tuition For Clinton Community College Students

Metallica is one of the greatest rock bands in the history of rock.  They've been around for decades with hit after hit, stacks of gold records and sold out stadium tours.  The fellas from Metallica also have the "All Within My Hands Foundation" which is going to be taking care of some students in Clinton.

According to The Clinton Herald Metallica has given a $100,000 grant to the Clinton Community College to fully pay for 10 students tuitions and reward another 40 with $1500 towards their education.  The school was picked after a large number of schools across the country applied for the grant.

At this point you are probably thinking what's the catch.  No catch for any student enrolled in engineering technology.  Students just need to fill out a simple application to apply for the scholarships.  All the basic info, plus students will provide a Goal Statement explaining in up to two paragraphs their career goals and how the Metallica Scholars Initiative funding will help them reach their goals.

“We are very excited to work with Metallica and the AACC to focus on career and technical training and the many opportunities for students in our community. The timing of this initiative could not be better,” said Brian Kelly, Clinton Community College President.

The All Within My Hands Foundation was founded in 2017 and is "dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services."

James Hetfield, said, “As a touring entity we are in direct involvement with multiple essential career choices along our path. From electrical, professional driving, culinary, mechanical maintenance, public safety, logistical organizers. And that just scratches the surface. Those, along with a multitude of other technical careers, make our touring and our performances possible. We are passionate and grateful to these trades and tradespeople.”
