Ms. Perez was nominated by a parent of one of her students. Carrie said in her nomination:

I am nominating my son’s teacher Ms. Marlen Perez at Lincoln-Irving Elementary School in Moline. She teaches dual language (English and Spanish) third grade, who goes above and beyond for her students every single day. She creates a welcoming classroom where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn in two languages. Each morning she starts the day with a class meeting that gives students space to share anything on their minds before lessons begin, helping them feel heard and emotionally ready to learn. This routine builds strong relationships, confidence, and a true sense of community. Her dedication to both academic growth and emotional well being makes her an incredible teacher.

Awesome job, Ms. Perez!

For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Ms. Perez has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack, including stickers, a shirt, and more, plus chocolate goodies from Ultimate Chocolates in Bettendorf!

Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Ms. Perez!
