Reviews For The New Star Wars Movie Are In
The Rise Of Skywalker is getting it's first wave of reviews before hitting theaters. What did fans and critiques think of this pre-screening? Reviews are mixed to say the least.
As of 12/18/19 with 117 reviews The Rise Of Skywalker is sitting at a 56% on Rotten Tomatoes. Yikes, clearly people were not impressed with this conclusion to the Skywalker saga.
"The Rise Of Skywalker is a spirited, hectic and ultimately forgettable conclusion to the Skywalker saga that began 42 years ago with Star Wars." Jake Coyle wrote
It appears many people who saw this film agreed with that statement. Many critics calling it "lack luster" and "feeling like a let down." Resulting in one of the lowest voted Star wars movies since The Phantom Menace. Some even joke, calling it a force ghost of it's self.
While there is a lot of negative comments, a few people did enjoy it for what it was. 'Vulture' saying"gung-ho inspirational spirit that must have elated Disney after the negative response to the Last Jedi."
"It has grown on me the longer I've thought about it." stated Robbie Collin. Giving hope to some of the die hard fans out there who want nothing more than a great ending to a series that's been around since 1977.
As one of those fans I can't wait to see this movie tomorrow. I will have my spoiler free review up after watching this movie. After these critic's reviews I and many fans find themselves curious as to what direction this movie will take.
