Would You Eat These Strange Whitey’s Flavors?
Normally when I make a trip to Whitey's, I order a sundae or a scoop of my favorite flavor, chocolate peanut butter revel. Today, I took a look at the complete Whitey's menu and was surprised by some of the choices.
Amongst the typical offerings of chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla, and chocolate, were some unusual selections, like bubble gum, Cancun coconut (a summer flavor featuring coconut flakes, toasted coconut, and crushed pineapple), lemon custard (a pretty self-explanatory flavor), and gummy bear (raspberry flavored ice cream with gummy bears throughout.) The shake menu also has some unique selections, like marshmallow, root beer, and lime.
I don't want to offend some of the people out there with um, more interesting taste in ice cream, but I am curious if there are Whitey's customers that actually enjoy those flavors. I guess for every dozen chocolate lovers out there, there must be a root beer shake lover. And I would also venture to guess that flavors like gummy bear and marshmallow are probably most popular with younger kids. I think for now, I'll stick to what I know and won't go too far outside my comfort zone when it comes to my Whitey's order.
