Quad City Businesses Enter Sign War With Each Other

If you've been through Milan in the last few days, you may have noticed the cute back and forth going on between two businesses.

It all started when the Quad City Animal Welfare Center decided on putting up a sign to challenge Finn's Grill Across the street to a sign war.

The first sign read "Hey Finns, do you want to have a sign war?"

Finn's Grill responded quickly with a pun, saying "You gotta be kitten me! We're in."

The two businesses continued to go back and forth with each other.

"Yay, Finns you responded. We thought a cat got your tongue."

"Hey QC Animal Welfare Center, we bet our meat cleaver is bigger than yours."

"Finns, you're so cleaver, you have us busting our stiches."

QC Animal Welfare Center said they're just doing it to have fun.

"We were just looking to create a buzz! Everyone needs a bit of "paw-sitivity" in their day to day life, so if we can make someone laugh on their daily drive it was all time well spent," They said in a Facebook message. "COVID is hitting a lot of people very hard and we think it is important to have the community come together in a time like this. We hope this is the beginning of something great and look forward to seeing where it goes. It is always a bonus to help drive people from all places to animal welfare!"

Finn's Grill is even doing some fundraising for QC Animal Welfare Center out of it.
