B100’S Pet of the Week: Adopt Bammer the Guinea Pig

After celebrating National Rescue Dog Day on Monday, today we celebrate a much different animal, but one that needs to be rescued all the same.

Say hello to our latest pet of the week, Bammer the guinea pig:

Bammer is a tri-color guinea pig; he looks almost like one of those peanut butter cup pies. His hair is very smooth, and very fine, so he does shed. Be aware of that if you have allergies!

Right now, Bammer doesn't love being picked up all that much. He freaks out a bit. But once you're holding him securely, he calms down. This all comes down to socializing him (it's true for guinea pigs and rabbits in general). The more time you spend with him, the more comfortable he'll be.

Unfortunately, that's exactly why he ended up at the shelter in the first place. His first family didn't have enough time to spend with him.
