It's no secret that we're animal lovers here at B100. Each week, the Humane Society of Scott County introduces us to a new furry friend that needs a home (have you met Kevin yet?). But there are quite a few animal shelters in the Quad Cities, and one of them needs some help.

Early this week, the Moline Police Department posted to Facebook that they had taken 15 cats from a residence during a call. They took the cats to QC Paws, and learned "that they currently have over 200 feline friends at the facility and over 75 more in foster care."

With that many cats, it's easy to go through resources quickly. So, the MPD is calling on animal-loving Quad Citizens to donate a few things to help out. Right now, QC Paws could really use some additional cat food, cat litter and bleach.

Anyone who wants to donate can drop the items off at the shelter itself at 4001 78th Avenue, Moline.
